Starting a story
Create a plot, pick a format, and choose solo or collaborative.
Creating a new story
Open the Write module and click "New story". Give it a title, write a logline (a one-sentence pitch), and add a synopsis. Choose a format (novel, short story, screenplay, comic, etc.) and genre.
Solo vs chain stories
Solo stories are written entirely by you - you own 70% of any licensing revenue. Chain stories are collaborative: you set the premise, and the community writes competing chapters. The community votes on the best version of each chapter, and it becomes canon. Chain story revenue is split 30% plot owner + 40% contributors.
Story settings
Configure metrics like target word count, chapter length guidelines, and voting periods. Set the story as public (anyone can read) or private (invite-only). You can change these settings at any time from the story dashboard.
