Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about writing and earning on Sproker.

How do I write a collaborative book online?

On Sproker, anyone can start a story plot and invite the community to write competing chapters. Each chapter slot has an open submission window where writers submit their version. The community votes to decide which chapter becomes canon. The winning author earns royalties from the finished book.

What is a canon chain in collaborative storytelling?

A canon chain is the official, voted-in sequence of chapters that forms the final story on Sproker. When a chapter vote closes, the submission with the most community votes is sealed as canon and added to the chain. All subsequent writers continue from that sealed chapter.

How can I print my story as a real book?

Any completed story on Sproker can be ordered as a physical hardcover through our Lulu print integration. Visit the Print Shop, configure your binding, paper type, and quantity, and Sproker handles the rest. Printed copies can also be ordered as part of a Sproker autobiography project.

Can I earn money from writing on Sproker?

Yes. When a story is sealed and licensed via the Sproker Marketplace, creators receive 70% of the revenue. For chain stories, that splits into 30% for the plot owner and 40% for contributors. The platform takes 30%. Pro and Ultra subscribers also earn a 2x royalty multiplier on winning chapters.

How can I print my personalized bedtime stories?

Sproker's Daily Bedtime Ritual generates AI-personalized children's books using your child's name and events from their day. Every generated story is saved to your child's Memory Vault. You can order a physical printed copy from the Print Shop at any time.

Do I need an account to read stories on Sproker?

No. All public stories on Sproker are free to read without an account. To vote on chapters, submit your own writing, or earn royalties, you need a free account. Pro and Ultra plans unlock additional features like star ratings, starting your own plots, and AI writing tools.

Can I create illustrated children's books on Sproker?

Yes. Sproker has a dedicated children's book studio where you write page-by-page text and generate AI illustrations in 5 styles (watercolor, cartoon, Pixar, pencil sketch, manga) or upload your own artwork. Published picture books get a dedicated page-by-page reader, and you can print them as hardcover keepsakes.

What writing formats does Sproker support?

Sproker supports six formats: Book (novel or novella), Script (film or stage play), Series (TV or web series), Musical (story with songs), Comic (illustrated graphic novel), and Children's book (illustrated picture book). Each format has a dedicated editor with format-specific tools.
