How credits work, what each plan includes, and tracking usage.
What are AI credits?
AI credits are consumed when you use AI-powered features: generating bedtime stories, AI brainstorming in the editor, voice transcription, mood analysis, conversational journaling, and more. Each action costs a certain number of credits.
Credits by plan
Free users get a starter balance of credits to try AI features. Pro users receive a generous monthly allocation that resets each billing cycle. Ultra users get unlimited AI credits - use as much as you want.
Tracking usage
Check Account > AI Usage to see how many credits you've used this month, what you've used them on, and how many remain. The page shows a breakdown by feature so you can see where your credits go.
Running low on credits
If you're running low, you'll see a notification. You can wait for the monthly reset, or upgrade your plan for more credits. No AI feature will stop working mid-action - if you start a generation, it will complete even if it uses your last credit.
Upgrading from Free to Pro typically gives you 10x more AI credits per month.
